Persia #2 North across the mountains to the Caspian Sea and……..home.
Once back in Tehran, we hit the road to the North. Driving through the evening and night, we listened to some amazing Persian and contemporary tunes of Amir’s, which helped fill the dark hours on the road.
Persian dispatches #1: South from the Mountains to the desert seas.
I went to Iran last year in April, so had a strong knowledge and experience base to readily accept another offer from the Iranian Surfing Association to run some courses this year. But this time for longer, for more courses and see new places!
SUP Safety Video
Great safety video from the International Surfing Association (ISA) featuring…me!
A few months ago the ISA asked if I’d like to make a coaching Video about SUP. Based on feedback from and working with, the SUP and water safety community, there was a lack of information and knowledge regarding rescuing unconscious people from the water. Here’s the result!

Andy’s Arctic Adventure

Back in March, Norwegian friends and SUP organisors Kjell and Eilen got in touch: “We’re looking at running some courses in the Lofoten’s, would you like to run them? The location we’re looking at is Unstad beach, a top surf destination in the Lofoten Islands, is that ok? ”

The DSRF (Danish Surf and rafting Federation) Hosted two ISA one day SUP modules in great summer conditions in Northern Jutland last weekend.

No boot camp circuits, just focused training in the fundamental areas of catching and riding a wave with a dedicated surf coach:
week 1 – the paddle
week 2 – the pop-up
week 3 – the stance
week 4 – the turn
week 5 – the breath
week 6 – the complete surfer
Starting 8-9am, Saturday 2nd June with an introductory offer of £40 for the complete program… With the option of paying just £5 for your first taster session.
